Established in 1992, OTAVI Technology Consulting, formerly operating as Ernst & Young CSI, CSIPER Consulting, and CSI3G, has a storied history in ERP implementation consulting. 1992 - 1996: Pioneering Beginnings

Our story began in 1992 when Hans Visser, after years of consulting in SAP, assembled a team of top consultants and founded CSi: Commercial Systems Installations. Recognizing the potential of ERP solutions, CSi quickly established itself as a leading player in the industry.

1994 - 1999: Partnering for Success

In 1994, CSi achieved a significant milestone by becoming one of the first three Southern African SAP Logo Partners. This distinction was a testament to our expertise. A groundbreaking partnership was formed with Ernst & Young South Africa, resulting in the establishment of "Ernst & Young CSI" – a practice dedicated to ERP solutions. Hans Visser's leadership as Managing Partner and CEO of Ernst & Young CSi propelled the practice to global expansion, with successful implementation projects spanning Australasia, Europe, and North America.

1999 - 2005: Navigating Change and Excellence

In 1999, as Ernst & Young began negotiations for a worldwide sale of its consulting division to Capgemini, CSi and Ernst & Young amicably agreed to end their partnership agreement. CSi transitioned to independent operations under the new company, CSIPER Consulting, with Hans Visser as CEO. The year 2000 marked another milestone as CSIPER Consulting, Inc. achieved USA National Implementation Partner status, providing exceptional regional and local support for SAP System solutions throughout North America. The accolades continued in 2004, as CSIPER Consulting earned the prestigious SAP customer service award for "highest customer satisfaction in alliance partner category." In 2002, CSIPER was sold to state-owned Arivia.kom with the intent of privatization and listing on the JSE.

2006 - 2023: Charting a New Path

In 2005 it became evident that privatization had stalled, and Hans Visser recognized the need for a new direction, leading to his decision to resign as CEO of CSIPER. This marked the beginning of a new era as CSi resumed its independent operations, now as a 3rd generation consulting firm known as "CSI3G."

2023 and Beyond: A Fresh Identity

In 2023, CSI3G embarked on a rebranding journey, resulting in the registration of "OTAVI Technology Consulting" as a "doing business as" (dba) name. As OTAVI, we continue to uphold our legacy of expertise, innovation, and excellence. With a track record spanning over three decades, we are dedicated to helping businesses navigate the complex world of ERP implementation and technology solutions.
